General Manager

Jake started in the automotive industry in 2012 and he’s been going full throttle ever since! He began his career as a technician and spent 2 years at AAMCO removing and installing transmissions, as well as general repair before coming to Zaks Auto. Jake joined our team in 2014 as a technician with a genuine zeal for car repair and European motorsports. His positive and friendly attitude is infectious and he sets the bar for the level of integrity and professionalism we strive for at Zaks Auto. Jake moved to our service department in 2016 and was quickly promoted to Service Manager and then General Manager. He has an Automotive Technology degree from New Hampshire Technical Institute. Outside of work, Jake enjoys mountain biking and being with his wife, Emily, their daughter, Leia and dog Daisy.

Service Advisor

Rico has joined our team with 25 years of service department experience and it shows! He has held lengthy positions at NTB, Sullivan Tire, Pep Boys and Toyota as a Service Advisor and Manager. In an industry with an ever-changing landscape, Rico has continually grown his automotive knowledge and overall understanding of how to take care of customers in the best we possible. Service advising is truly ‘Project Management’ and Rico’s ability to direct, oversee and communicate throughout a customer’s visit to our shop is nothing short of amazing! Rico has a degree in computer science and enjoys spending time with his wife and daughter outside of work. You can also find him spinning tunes as DJ Primo at night! www.djprimo.net

Service Advisor

Julia is a new edition to our team and we are so lucky to have found her! She has been in the automotive industry since 2020 in a Service Advisor role with Town Fair Tire, as well as an independent shop. Julia is used to the rigorous workload her department carries and she also loves cars! Her easygoing personality and fun office banter liven up our waiting room and keep us all smiling. Julia has studied Criminal Justice and is currently studying for a degree in Finance. In her free time, Julia enjoys finding new restaurants and being with her two French bulldogs.

Marketing Coordinator, PPF Technician/Detailer

Tyler has been in the automotive industry for 11 years now. Starting as lot attendant for Volkswagen and then moving to the detailing department. After Volkswagen he moved onto Paint Protection Film installation and now has almost 10 years experience. In addition to PPF and Detailing Tyler also has a wide knowledge of Photography and Videography and even dabbles in graphic/website design. After being a customer for 14 years he has joined our team aiding in Paint Protection Film installation, Detailing as well as handling our marketing and social media accounts. When not at work Tyler is a major gym rat and also loves skateboarding and going to car meets/shows with his Audi RS3.

PPF Technician / Detailer

Paul joined our team in 2016 to launch our Detailing division and has 9 years of experience with high end detailing and paint correction. Paul has spent 2 years learning the art of Paint Protection Film and is now an XPEL PPF Installer. XPEL is the industry leader in paint protection film and ceramic coatings. He truly loves the art of detailing and restoring a vehicle to showroom quality. Outside of work Paul loves to skateboard, mountain bike, attend car shows and spend time with family. A fun fact about Paul is that he is an incredible skateboarder!

PPF Technician / Detailer

Colton joined our team in 2023 with 5 years of detailing, body work and paint correction has the incredible ability to revitalize a car with precision and speed. He has become adept at paint protection film while training with Paul. He has been an incredible addition and asset to our detailing experience. He truly loves what he does and it shows. Colton team. In his free time, Colton skis, does mechanical work to his own car and drifts his Nissan 240SX.

Automotive Technician

Jim joined our team in 2019, but truly it feels like he’s been with us all along! He has been a Zaks Auto customer since 2013 and an avid car enthusiast for much longer. Jim blows us away every day with his energy, attitude and commitment to his job. He started here as an entry level technician and has soared into general technician level, completing all of his work in an impressive manor. He is currently enrolled in the Automotive Technology program at NCC. Outside of work Jim can be found indoor rock climbing, long-boarding, camping and kayaking.

Automotive Technician

Sam joined our team in 2022 as newer technician and has continually knocked it out of the park every day since. He is a motivated, self-starter with an authentic zeal for cars and it shows every day. His work is impeccable and he is hitting benchmarks in his technical career faster than most do. Sam completed the Automotive Technology program at Minuteman Technical Institute in Lexington, worked as a Lube Technician and completed a Factory Five 818C Kit Car on his own before he found us. In his free time, Sam enjoys hiking, racing and playing video games.

Automotive Technician

Kyle joined our team this year and we love his positive, spunky attitude. He can tackle any repair we put in front of him and does so with a positive and professional attitude. Kyle earned his Automotive Technology degree from Universal Technical Institute in Florida and had 3 years of relative automotive experience in the field before finding us. We see great things in his future! In his free time, Kyle enjoys snowboarding, riding dirt bikes, working on his own cars and attending local car events.

Automotive Technician

Owen joined our team this year and it has been a pleasure watching him in action. His varied experience over the last 7 years has enabled him to develop a very polished set of skills, especially with difficult diagnostics. Owen has a natural intelligence with cars and is very serious about his work. Owen is a Master ASE Technician and completed his A1-A7 certifications. In his free time, he enjoys fishing and spending time in the White Mountains.

Automotive Technician

Matt joins our team with 15 years of well-rounded technical experience, with a major passion for the Audi/VW brands. He has worked at independent shops and has owned his own shop building racecars. Matt excels at completing large, time-consuming projects and once he starts we may not see him leave his bay for days on end! Matt’s work ethic is admirable and his enthusiasm for his work every day is evident. One of his favorite past projects was a 10-second drag VW Corrado that he built and raced! He enjoys spending time with his family, girlfriend and their new puppy.

Shop Foreman

Tyler joined our team in 2022 as our Shop Foreman and he brings years of technical and management experience with him. His automotive career began at Ford in 1998, where he stayed as a technician and then as a Foreman. Tyler is a Master Ford Technician, who has experience with nearly every type of vehicle. How he leads his team, motivates and supports his co-workers and commits himself to every task is why we are the lucky ones to have him. Tyler has enjoyed the switch to a European focus shop and managing a smaller team. During his free time you can find him mountain biking, hiking, skiing or hanging with his friends and family.

Owner

Zak, owner and founder of Zaks Auto has been repairing cars for 20 years. He began his career at several independent garages then worked his way up through Honda/Nissan and Audi/Porsche. Zak is an ASE Certified Master Technician and a Master Porsche Technician. He has a true passion for European performance cars, but truly has an affinity for motorsports and cars in general. He appreciates the vintage beetle as much as the Porsche 991. Zak envisioned a certain type of repair and performance shop, which has been his driving force since 2008. He has come a long way from the little 2-bay garage he rented far off the beaten path, but his integrity and care for his customers has remained the same. In his free time, Zak enjoys being with his wife, Kristen and their 4 kids. He also loves mountain biking, hiking, snow-boarding, racing cars, kayaking and camping.

Owner

Kristen helped Zak start the business in 2008 and has been overseeing the business growth and development ever since. She currently oversees Human Resources and Marketing. Kristen has a B.A. in Communications from The University of Connecticut and has certificates in holistic nutrition, personal training and massage therapy. Alongside her part-time job at Zaks Auto, Kristen also holds down a full-time job as a Mom to their four kids! The couple have 8-year old triplet daughters, Vivian, Claire and Adele and a 5 year old son, Calvin. Kristen enjoys running, hiking, gardening and being anywhere fun with her family.
